Meet Our Founder
Anchor Point Housing Solutions LLC is led by Shekiera Mitchell, Owner and CEO, whose passion for housing began with a simple belief: everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home.
With a background in residential real estate and housing operations, Shekiera is committed to creating clean, well-maintained shared housing where residents can live with dignity, independence, and peace of mind. Her goal is to provide more than just a place to stay by fostering a respectful living environment that encourages stability and a fresh start.
Her commitment to serving veterans is deeply personal. As the daughter and caregiver of her disabled U.S. Army veteran father, she has witnessed firsthand the challenges many veterans face when searching for affordable housing, navigating healthcare systems, and maintaining their independence. Those experiences became the foundation for Anchor Point Housing Solutions and continue to shape the organization's mission today.
While Anchor Point Housing Solutions was founded to serve veterans, the organization has expanded to welcome other adults who are seeking safe, affordable shared housing and are able to live independently. Through partnerships with healthcare providers, veteran organizations, case managers, churches, and community agencies, Shekiera works to ensure residents have access to housing that supports long-term stability and opportunities for a brighter future.
